ABC Dessert Table

Hello everyone! My blog post for this week is a dessert table I designed for an ABC-themed birthday party. It was such a fun theme and the celebrant’s Mom chose the perfect colors, which coincidentally matched the wall color at the venue. So the backdrop was DIY… I made them with tissue paper, styrofoam boards, cardboard letters and green yarn.  I used ‘play on words’ on the food labels to go with the theme. The cake was vanilla flavor with buttercream, covered with fondant. The desserts included rice krispies treats, candy-coated marshmallows, brownies pops, cupcakes, and candies. Enjoy viewing!

Tea Party Bridal Shower Cake

I did this cake for a tea party-themed bridal shower last weekend. I truly love it when a client just gives me a theme and tells me to take the liberty with the design. With this one, I decided to do a double-stacked base tier and a small top tier. I think the tall height of double-stacked cakes gives them a nice modern look. Enjoy viewing!!!

owolabi bukola - God bless d work of your hands.

Havilah - Lovely as always Diwura, i like that you pay attention to even the smallest details. My fav with this is the silver dipped roses.

Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Cake

I made this cake for an Alice in Wonderland-themed birthday party for a set of twin girls turning one. Their Mom wanted to throw a very fun, whimsical party to celebrate her girls, and wanted all of the key elements of the classic children’s story such as the clock, teapot and playing cards incorporated in the cake. Creating the cake, especially the little details, was so much fun, and Mom was absolutely delighted when she saw the cake. Enjoy viewing!

Havilah - I like the details. The chain from the watch, The mushrooms, and bow are my fav. The twins must have been excited!

tia - Very Detailed. Looks scrumptious. Yum!

KHARIMA - They loved every bit of it…with stains of red velvet cake to prove it! Absolutely delicious and it was the #1 hit at the party! Thank you again!

Yuddie - Diwura, your vision and talent is so refreshing! Keep up the great work… You have a huge fan in me!

Mobola - Wow@ the details! How long did this take? I love the creativity and the story the cake tells. It’s certainly a conversation piece!
